Solar + Combined Heat & Power for Increased Resilience & Productivity

10-29-2018 15:55

Summary

The Schneider Electric Foxboro, MA facility experienced a full day shutdown and loss of productivity in 2017 due to power outage – even though it had a back-up generator. This session will discuss how integrating an advanced microgrid with solar PV and combined heat and power through Microgrid-as-a-Service can increase resilience and sustainability, as well as prevent productivity loss, with zero upfront capital. By decarbonizing, decentralizing, and digitizing electricity, Schneider Electric will generate and use over 50% of the energy produced on-site and optimize the thermal distribution by leveraging sophisticated technologies.
