Transforming New York’s Electricity System with the Marcus Garvey Village Microgrid

10-29-2018 15:47

Summary

Demand Energy’s Marcus Garvey Village (MGV) microgrid, in Brooklyn, NY, models how a city can build an intelligently controlled distributed digital power grid, provide local resiliency and transform the energy supply chain. MGV lowers energy costs, delivers load relief for the utility (Con Edison) and reduces greenhouse gas emissions, allowing ConEd to increase their earnings return by improving system utilization. This presentation will analyze the MGV microgrid to demonstrate the benefits of Non-Wires Solutions.
