Presentation of the Centralized Renewable Energy System (CRES) project located at Nebraska Innovation Campus (NIC). This unique system provides campus-wide heat sink / source using treated wastewater effluent from the city of Lincoln. This installation involved construction of a new utility plant, distribution piping to customers and connection to city owned infrastructure. We will discuss design concepts & challenges, construction issues, operational history, maintenance issues and lessons learned.
