The Combined Heat and Power Replacement Project at the University of Alaska Fairbanks is nearing completion. This presentation will review lessons learned, including how early stakeholder outreach is critical and the effectiveness of construction management-at-risk (CMAR) approach. The presentation follows the development stages identified by the EPA in the CHP Project Development Handbook. Lessons from the construction phase, including how consistent coordination within the project team can minimize issues and delays, will also be presented.
