Summary

Installing or connecting chilled or heating pipe from a new building to the campus district utility must be cleaned and flushed properly. This is a critical, but often overlooked step. Concern by owners is on the rise as they recognize that they need to protect their plant investment and optimize energy efficiency. This presentation will discuss the practical drivers behind this movement, and will cover the specifications, budgeting, equipment, and techniques needed to perform proper flushing. Multiple examples of campus implementations will be presented. Information will allow attendees to walk away with practical and best of class concepts that can be applied to their next project.
