Summary

Distribution vault is an essential element of any district energy system while its importance often remains underappreciated. In many developments vault specification is basic and does not account for negative impact of elevated temperature, high humidity, chemical substances penetrating the vault with surface water, etc. Often design underestimates load bearing capacity and impact of overhead traffic. All of that and some other aspects of the issue will be addressed in this presentation.
