Many cities and universities are planning significant carbon reductions, with some pursuing a goal of net zero emissions. This presentation provides a framework for evaluating carbon reduction strategies, including assessment of the potential roles of building energy efficiency measures and a range of supply side measures including steam to hot water conversion, heat pumps, CHP, biofuels, solar photovoltaic, thermal energy storage and battery storage, and addresses Life Cycle Cost analysis of carbon reductions.
