Implementing energy-efficiency goals laid out in the University’s Climate Action Plan, ten buildings with district heating were targeted for modifications. New boiler controls, chillers, AHUs, pumps, VFDs, replacement lighting, and new energy meters were installed. Upon completion, energy usage decreased 33%. The success of this Eco Building Program allowed the in-house team to continue their efforts with other buildings. This presentation will describe the process and offer recommendations for other organizations interested in replicating it.
