Summary

A large, Midwestern college required a modern, high availability, high performance, high resolution HMI solution for their aging campus energy plant control room. The developed solution utilized virtualized redundant servers, running 4k graphics, applying the latest in high-performance graphics standards per ISA101. Challenges overcome include getting operator buy-in on the high-performance graphics methodology, high resolution layout issues in navigation and alarming, operator customizable graphic placement, and interfacing with legacy equipment.
