Improving Existing Chilled Water Plant Performance

08-21-2017 14:59

Summary

From commissioning to operations, energy savings in chilled water production plants begins with the optimization of equipment and a clear metric to evaluate a central plant’s operating efficiency. District Cooling of Saint Paul identified a capacity restriction at our Tenth Street Plant. Targeting the restoration of the plant’s nameplate capacity, an optimization project was implemented. The project resulted in reduced production costs and will provide an ongoing metric to trend operational performance.
