Summary

The Veternans Administration is completing detailed feasibility studies of Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) at their medical centers in Columbus and Chillicothe, Ohio. Multiple ATES configurations were considered in the engineering evaluation, along with CHP integration and the hydrogeologic evaluation included field studies to confirm that site groundwater conditions were suitable for an ATES project. This presentation reviews the projects.
