Summary

Public Services Procurement Canada is strongly considering the adoption of biomass as its primary fuel for baseloading its modernized district energy system. However, not all biomass is equal from a carbon accounting perspective. This workshop will provide a detailed analysis of the findings of an alternative fuel feasibility study and an overview of an analysis of research into the carbon neutrality of biomass. It will also introduce two 1.5 mW biomass pilot projects being completed.
