Summary

DCO currently owns, operates and maintains a CHP plant feeding a district energy system at Monclair State University. We are working with the University to add a microgrid for various reasons (high demand ratched for Supplemental power, black start capabilities, growing electric load, emergency generation aging, etc.). This paper will address the lessons learned through the engineering and construction processes.
