Distributed energy resources (DER) have created a new energy landscape predicated on complex 2-way power flow systems, resulting in technologies to manage multiple energy sources. This session will discuss optimization of DER sources and loads – solar, wind, natural gas generation, EV chargers and battery storage – to enhance sustainability, support energy security and control energy spend with advanced predictive algorithms. The session will also explain the advantages of other specific grid technologies, including tariff management, demand response requests, peak shaving, CO2 tracking and storm hardening services.
