The University of Georgia has a long history of providing conditioned space via chilled water. The campus has evolved through various chilled water systems including individual building chillers, connected buildings with simple controls, regional pumping and distribution systems, and eventually district chilled water systems. This presentation will outline the history of the systems on campus, the driving factors in system development and highlight the developments in the evolution to district chilled water.
