Summary

As with all significant projects, the establishment and ongoing operation of district energy systems exposes municipal service providers to a number of risks and concerns. These include securing connections, building system compatibility, land access, allocation of risks, regulatory and other legal issues. This presentation will discuss some legal documentation used to manage some of the practical issues that may arise in relation to the establishment, operation and maintenance of a municipal DE system.
