02-25-2019 19:01

Summary

This presentation discusses the development of the first plug-and-play microgrid control system. Details are shared on the implementation. Features implemented include no computer setup, easy control (DIP) switch configuration, publish-and-subscribe Data Distribution Service (DDS) communications, reduced fuel usage, reduced fuel emissions, multivendor generator interoperability, load shedding, wet stacking mitigation of diesel gensets, real-time condition monitoring, load sharing, synchronization, point of coupling control, and more. A tactical microgrid system case study is included in the presentation.
