Summary

The University of Virginia ‘s North Grounds Mechanical Plant expansion is doubling the area served and building out the capacity of the efficient central plant. We will discuss new analysis tools, the second generation heat recovery system and challenges in adopting University infrastructure standards and performance expectations to allow new materials. Buildings being added to the NGMP will place disparate operating and performance demands on the system required creative solutions to maintain plant efficiency
