Summary

Aarhus’ district heating system has been carbon neutral since 2017. Through investments in converting Aarhus CHP production to renewable energy sources, the City of Aarhus has cut its carbon emissions in half over the past 10 years! - a mission that the City of Pittsburgh has set forth for 2030. Mr. Bjarne Munk Jensen will share the story of heat planning in Aarhus, connecting 16 independent district heating plants to a comprehensive and efficient system, as well as the details and cost data regarding the transformation of this system to carbon neutrality.
