Summary

In 2017 Urban Ingenuity launched a new Microgrid Extension Service, under contract to DC's Department of Energy and Environment.  The Service supports localized energy solutions for communities, downtowns, large-scale real estate developments, and campuses. We offer a unique package of screening, analysis and design assistance for facility owners, real-estate developers, community organizations, and government agencies considering a microgrid solution. Our objective: optimize microgrid systems and provide the best possible financial returns, while providing clean, reliable, resilient energy at market rates or better.  Urban Ingenuity is working with other municipalities and interested organizations to offer these services nationally as well.
