Utilization of Biodiesel and Heavy Esters in CHP Facilities

Summary

REG is actively developing renewable fuels primarily targeted at CHP facilities. The primary fuels are biodiesel and heavy esters (distillation bottoms). REG has been in discussion with the EPA and have been given notice that RINS can be generated by facilities using both of these products. In addition, Renewable Energy Credits (RECS) can be generated as well.
