Summary
The state of New Jersey is pushing forward with feasibility studies to create energy resiliency through microgrids in Trenton. IDEA Member System Veolia Energy will be adding electric capacity to their existing thermal distribution network in an effort to create a more reliable energy infrastructure to nearly two dozen of their existing customer buildings, giving them the ability to continue heating, cooling, and electric service in the event of an emergency, such as a down electric grid as shown during Hurricane Sandy in 2012.
