Chesapeake Utilities to supply gas to Delmarva hospital

Summary

Chesapeake Utilities will provide natural gas to power a combined heat and power plant at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland. 

The use of natural gas to produce on-site electricity will reduce Peninsula Regional Medical Center's carbon emissions by 50 percent and provide critical systems with power during outages, Chesapeake, a Dover-based utility, said in a statement.
