A pellet-fired plant in Helsinki with a district heat output of about 92 MW entered test operations last week, Finnish utility Helen Ltd announced Friday.
The first fire was ignited on October 17, while non-stop heat production will commence in November. The inauguration of the pellet heating plant in Salmisaari is planned for the late winter of 2018.
