Many companies are taking action to improve energy efficiency, but far fewer are responding to new technologies such as battery storage, microgrids or CHP, new poll finds
Many large corporations are limiting themselves to conventional approaches to climate change and the energy transition, leaving them unprepared for newer disruptive clean technologies such as battery storage and microgrids.
That is the conclusion of a survey by engineering technology giant Schneider Electric, which polled 236 companies boasting more than $100m a year in revenues on how they planned to respond to the low carbon energy transition.
The company warned that while many respondents felt ready to compete in the evolving energy landscape, their perceptions were often not backed up by their current actions.
