Perhaps the chance to change the perception of who we are and what we do, which we have all been working towards, really started to take shape with the announcement that a brownfield site next to the Tees Dock between Middlesbrough and Redcar had ben chosen by renewable energy company MGT Teesside to build the largest biomass combined heat and power plant of its kind in the world.
Contractors broke ground in August 2016 and the site will be fully up and running in early 2020, with a huge boiler structure already visible from the A66 nearby.
