Summary
A pellet-fired plant with a district heat output of 92 MW has been inaugurated in Helsinki, Finnish utility Helen Ltd announced last week, adding that it is planning more projects of the kind in the coming years.
The plant in Salmisaari will be burning 21 tonnes of pellets per hour, producing enough heat for 25,000 one-bedroom apartments.
