Summary

Residents are being consulted on the benefit of using a biomass heating system to both save money on heating bills and generate cash for the village.

The renewable energy feasibility project is being proposed by Rampton and Woodbeck Parish Council at a public consultation this Sunday.

The parish council received a Rural Community Energy Fund Grant (RCEF) from WRAP which works with local communities to deliver practical solutions to improve energy efficiency.

This project supports rural communities to develop renewable energy projects which provide both economic and social benefits to the community.

The council are now investigating the possibility of the project on parish owned land and are inviting residents to an open day at Rampton Village Hall on Sunday, October 21 between 10am and 4pm.

The proposals include a Biomass District Heating System which could save money for householders and businesses on their heating bills and bring an income to the parish.
