Summary

The community of Meaux in the Paris area in France has received a distriction as “ecorésau de Chaleaur” (loosely translated as “ecological heating network”).

The municipality of Meaux received the label “Ecoréseau de chaleur”, awarded by the National Association of local authorities and professionals for the management of waste, energy, heat networks and the environment on the occasion of the renewable heat week.

Created in 2013, this distinction rewards communities whose “environmental, economic and social performance of the networks are the most exemplary”.

The geothermal network of Meaux extends over 32 km. It serves in particular the neighborhoods of the hospital, Beauval and Dunant. Public facilities also benefit, such as the Meaux hospital, the Frot pool or the Meaux-Chauconin prison.
