The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy in cooperation with the Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence (Dubai Carbon) has launched the State of Green Economy Report 2019 that shows progress in clean energy output.
According to projections in the report, More than 8 per cent of Dubai’s total power output will be generated from clean energy by next year.
This projection is based on the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to generate seven per cent of Dubai’s total power output from clean energy by 2020, 25 per cent by 2030 and 75 per cent by 2050.
