Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has finalised an action plan to give green rating to all buildings in the upcoming capital city Amaravati.
As a move in the direction, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will lay foundation stone for India's biggest district cooling system (DCS) in Amaravati on February 13.
Under DCS, a centralised air-conditioning system will provide cooled air to a network of buildings in an area through ducts.
This will do away with the existing system on installing air-conditioners in individual buildings. The DCS will also help in reducing emission of greenhouse gases.
