K.A.CARE Releases Renewable Energy Technology Localization Projects

Summary

The King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE) is calling for qualified companies to propose projects that will unlock the potential of renewable energy to address key sources of energy demand in the Kingdom. Bidders will be called upon to demonstrate relevant renewable energy technologies with high potential for benefiting the energy mix within the Kingdom, as well as commitment to fostering the growth of Saudi private enterprise. The projects will allow Saudi private companies to implement commercially relevant demonstrations of renewable energy systems, with cost-sharing by K.A.CARE of a portion of the project cost. 

K.A.CARE is releasing four requests for proposals in the following topic areas

Topic Maximum K∙A∙CARE funding
Solar heat for industrial processes 15 million SAR
Solar cooling 5 million SAR
Shallow geothermal cooling 10 million SAR
Energy storage 10 million SAR
