Empower's infrastructure development projects are designed to meet the growing demand for district cooling services. 

Dubai:Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world's largest district cooling services provider, announced that the total number of buildings to be supplied with district cooling services will reach 260 buildings in the Business Bay, by the completion of its project. Empower has been providing district cooling services to 62% of Business Bay area currently. The project is expected to be completed within the next 4 years, as the region is witnessing a tremendous urban growth. The project will be the largest district cooling project in the world upon completion, with a total cooling capacity of 350,000 RT from six cooling plants.

Empower is providing district cooling services to Business Bay through three main plants - Business Bay 1, Business Bay 2 and Business Bay 3, with a cooling capacity of 135,000 RT, and is currently working on the completion of Business Bay 4, Business Bay 5, and Business Bay 6, as part of its expansion plan in the area. In 2018, Empower has signed a contract to design the two new cooling plants, 4 and 5, with a capacity of more than 90,000 RT that will raise the total cooling capacity to 225,000 RT in Business Bay.
