Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) announced yesterday that Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) cooling plant is a leading model for cooling stadiums due to district cooling system technology’s ability to cool stadium innovatively and in environmentally friendly way.
Kahramaa added that the system is the most efficient and energy saving system which provides an ideal atmosphere in the stadium by reducing the temperature by 10 degrees Celsius through intelligent air handling and control units.
Kahramaa said the Department of District Cooling Services conducted a field tour of the district cooling station, which is operated by AZF as part of its sustainable development strategy. It currently supplies Khalifa International Stadium, the expansion of the Aspire Academy and AZF’s main building with cooling services.
