Democrats, President Trump Agree to $2 Trillion for Infrastructure

After a meeting between high-ranking congressional Democrats, President Trump and many key administration officials, it was announced that both sides agreed to a potential infrastructure plan of $2 trillion.

Speaking to reporters outside the White House after the meeting, Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer commented that “infrastructure is crucial to America” and that there would be a “big emphasis on the power grid to bring clean energy from one end of the country to the other.”

In a letter delivered to President Trump the day before the meeting, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Mr. Schumer urged the president to consider “A big and bold infrastructure package (that) must be comprehensive and include clean energy and resiliency priorities.”  You can read the read the letter in its entirety here
