Request for Qualifications: Connecticut Airport Authority Bradley International Airport New Energy Center Design/Build/Operate Project

By District Energy posted 12-19-2019 11:02

The Connecticut Airport Authority (“CAA”) seeks qualified firms to design, construct and operate a new Energy Center at Bradley International Airport, with the project to be completed under a progressive design/build/operate (DBO) project format.

The purpose of this notice is to inform interested firms of the CAA’s intent to release a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for this project in January 2020.

The new Energy Center will replace an existing central energy facility, and will include new cogeneration units, a standby generator, absorption and centrifugal chillers, and boiler equipment sized to meet the long-term electric power, heating, and cooling needs of the airport. The RFQ will invite design/build/operate firms or teams of firms to put forward their qualifications to provide complete, fully integrated design/build/operate services for the subject project. Based on review of these submittals, the CAA will invite a shortlist of qualified firms or teams of firms to prepare a detailed proposal for the project.

In order to receive information directly from CAA regarding this procurement, interested firms must register on the CAA’s procurement portal at: https://ctairports.procureware.com/home. Firms should register under the NAICS code 23 to receive automatic notifications related to this procurement.
