Summary
State-owned petroleum distributor Emarat signed an agreement with Aquacool, a subsidiary of Emirates District Cooling, to supply liquefied petroleum gas.
The agreement signed with Emicool’s billing and metering company will see Emarat supply LPG to the firm’s entire residential, commercial and industrial portfolio.
Customers based in Dubai will be served by an integrated and automated online portal.
The company said that the customers can also use contactless payments for delivery of their gas cylinders for health and safety reasons.
“We foresee great opportunities to re-invent the service standards and quality assurances in the local LPG market by linking our operations, deliveries, sales and customer care efforts while utilising the best means of technology, artificial intelligence and automation,” said Khalifa Al Shamsi, director general of Emarat.
"We are aware that there is intense competition out there, but our strengths and in-house capabilities equip us to face all kinds of market challenges,” he added.
