Ever-Green Energy, a subsidiary of St. Paul-based District Energy, will help Macalester College in St. Paul and Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania lower their carbon footprints through free enrollment in its “Roadmap to Carbon Neutrality” initiative.
The institutions will receive free energy planning services geared toward college and university campuses, which were invited to apply in June based on work done to date to their advance energy infrastructure and campus programs.
The two institutions will work with Ever-Green Energy over the next year to map out clean energy and energy conservation plans, evaluate feasibility and lay out next steps.
The first year of the program included the University of Minnesota Morris, the University of St. Thomas and the College of St. Benedict.
