Summary

Atlas Copco Gas and Process (Atlas Copco) has secured a compressor order for a combined heat and power station in Russia. The order, placed by Entrade GmbH, is for three integrally-geared fuel gas booster compressors—two natural gas units and one syngas unit.

The fuel gas boosting compressors will be installed in a 250 MW combined cycle power plant for PJSC Kazanorgsintez in Kazan, Russia. Kazanorgsintez PJSC is the largest domestic producer of ethylene polymers and copolymers and the leading chemical enterprise in the Russian Federation.

The new plant, which will utilize one Siemens SGT5-2000E gas turbine and one Siemens SST-600 steam turbine, will use natural gas as a fuel source, as well as natural gas derivatives (syngas) that are a by-product from a nearby production facility.

Plant construction has started and operations are expected to begin in March 2023. ENKA, a global engineering and construction firm headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey, is leading the engineering, procurement, and construction work and will also be responsible for plant commissioning.
