BOND Brothers, Inc. Appoints Tony Bond as President and CEO

Fifth generation Bond to oversee strategic direction and long-term growth of the entire BOND Family of Companies

BOND Brothers, Inc. (BOND), a premier family of companies providing the Northeast with construction management and general contracting services, has promoted Tony Bond to CEO & President, a position from which he will oversee the strategic growth and planning of the BOND family of companies – BOND Building, BOND Civil & Utility, and the newly created BOND Mechanical. Tony replaces Edward A. Bond, Jr as CEO, who will be staying on as Chairman of the Board for BOND, and Robert Murray, who held the position of President of BOND for the past 10 years and will stay on as an advisor to the Board.

“Tony has played a critical role in the expansion of our services and capabilities across the Northeast footprint and I am delighted to welcome him as BOND’s new CEO, ushering in a new chapter for the company’s long and storied history,” said Bond, Jr. “As BOND continues to expand into new markets and geographies, Tony’s vision, and ability to deliver on long range objectives will be essential to ensure the company continues to grow with a core focus on safety, client satisfaction, and people development. This an incredibly exciting time for BOND and the entire team is grateful to have him in this new role.”

“There is no one better suited to shepherd the BOND brand into the future as we continue towards our strategic goals,” said Murray. “Tony’s drive and acumen are unparalleled, and he has proven time and time again to be a tremendous leader throughout his tenure leading projects and business units in both the Building company and Civil & Utility company.”

A fifth generation Bond, Tony has been with the company for 15 years, with half his time at BOND Building and the other half with BOND Civil & Utility, where he has served as president since 2018. Bond has already put his imprint on the company by opening the New York City office in 2016, and by creating a new specialty contracting company, BOND Mechanical, which opened last year. Bond has also expanded the company’s Connecticut office and played a key role in extending the firm’s reach to the Mid-Atlantic markets.

“For more than a century, we've taken great pride in building a family-driven culture here at BOND, while establishing ourselves as a top-tier provider of construction management and general contracting services in the Northeast” said Bond. “Our mission is to provide our clients with solutions to their most complex project challenges. I look forward to working with our leadership team across the entire BOND family of companies to ensure we continue to deliver a safe and quality product for our clients and continue the development and promotion of our people as we move into the future.”

Bond brings years of hand-on construction experience to the table, with a concentration on complex logistics for clients in the power & energy markets, as well as in the academic and commercial landscape. His focus on safety, client satisfaction and people development are a legacy of the firm that has endured for generations.

Tony holds a Master of Science in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Vermont. He is also an alumnus of the Harvard Business School and was named one of ENR New England’s Top Young Professionals for 2015.
