Summary

The Windsor Utilities Commission has announced an agreement with Enwave Windsor Holdings LP for the sale of District Energy Windsor in a deal it says will lead to an expansion of the downtown thermal energy network.

Enwave will acquire the underground piping network connecting the various municipal, and a few private, buildings in the downtown core along with a ‘chilling plant’ for summertime cooling in the deal.

The company already operates the power generation substation for the downtown core located inside Caesar’s Windsor.
