The University of Washington is pleased to announce that David Woodson has been selected as Executive Director, Campus Energy, Utilities & Operations. David is a UW alum and he is looking forward to coming back to campus and leading the development of our utilities recapitalization strategy. His first day will be November 1.
David is currently the Managing Director of Energy and Water Services for the University of British Columbia (UBC) where he oversees the planning, generation and distribution of all energy and water utilities services for the UBC Vancouver campus. In his 20+ years at UBC he also previously served as the Managing Director of Building Operations, overseeing the maintenance and operations of buildings, grounds and utility infrastructure. In addition to a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the UW, David also has a master’s from UBC in Business Administration. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer and a Certified Educational Facilities Professional.
