Cooling giant Tabreed has acquired the district cooling plants and associated assets serving the Al Mouj mixed-use development in Muscat, Oman for AED65.4 million ($17.8m), plus related transaction costs, according to a statement posted on the Dubai Financial Market website.
Via Tabreed Oman SAOC, Tabreed, formally the National Central Cooling Company, signed an agreement with Al Mouj Muscat SAOC for the acquisition.
Tabreed has also turned to India, inking a deal to invest $400m in the country over five years via a partnership with the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group.
