Despite being replaced by the Green Heat Network Fund (GHNF) this year, millions of pounds in funding will be provided by the outgoing incentive with a focus on generating heat from waste
Two district heating projects in London and East Devon powered on energy generated from waste will receive funding via the outgoing Heat Networks Investment Project (HNIP).
Over £26m in funds will be shared between the two projects. Although the HNIP is no longer open for applications, fresh project funding has been agreed with the organisations that had previously applied for the programme.
