The Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation, also known as Empower, announced the full operation of its fourth district cooling plant in the Business Bay area in Dubai, WAM stated.
The company said that the total production capacity of the new plant has reached 50,000 refrigeration tons, bringing the total capacity of the Empower Business Bay district cooling project to more than 185,000 refrigeration tons.
It said the construction of the fourth plant is part of Empower's strategy to meet the growing demand for environmentally friendly district cooling services.
"The fourth district cooling plant in Business Bay represents the company's latest achievement in the development and innovation of the district cooling sector, as it follows leading standards that contribute to reducing energy consumption for cooling operations,” said Ahmad Shafar, CEO of Empower, in a statement.
