The problem scales down as well. How do companies and communities poised to receive record amounts of funding for clean energy technology and infrastructure ensure that the people in those communities are part of the process and the benefits.
In most cases, the clean energy innovations that were much heralded at the global summit won’t be scaled up in the parts of the world where Ms. Held works — areas where 700 million people still have no access to electricity.
