SDCL Energy Efficiency Income Trust plc (“SEEIT”) today announced the appointment of Dan Kelley as Chief Executive Officer of portfolio company RED-Rochester (“RED”). Located in Rochester, New York, USA, RED owns and manages one of North America’s largest district energy systems that provides services in the Eastman Business Park.

He has more than 30 years of executive level experience in the energy industry, including business operations and capital project management. His expertise and relationships across multiple markets including regulated and non-regulated power generation, heavy industrial, commercial real estate, and municipal water and wastewater will be invaluable as RED-Rochester builds and expands on its position as a leading sustainable energy services provider in the Northeast.”

Dan joins RED from CenTrio Energy, a leading pure-play district energy platform that offers centralized cooling, heating, and power solutions, where he was senior Vice President – US West. At CenTrio Energy Dan was responsible for managing seven districts and the company’s West Coast operations, including strategic oversight and all facets of day-to-day operations. Throughout his 30-year career in the energy and engineering sectors, Dan has managed district energy and campus-oriented systems  with a focus on strategic energy planning, optimization, and implementing decarbonization projects. He began his career commissioning power plants prior to assuming service operations management roles for Bailey Controls, an industry leader in the manufacture of industrial control systems and equipment.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering Operations with a Nuclear Power Minor from Maine Maritime Academy.
