Plans to incorporate Hull City Council’s District Heating Project into Albert Avenue Pools were given the green light by Cabinet today (Monday 27 March).
The Hull District Heating Project was approved last year and will provide heating into public and private businesses, as well as residential accommodation in the city centre.
These latest plans approved by Cabinet will develop an additional phase of the heat network into the west Hull facility, which has already undergone extensive refurbishment works and is due to reopen this summer.
This latest proposal will explore opportunities to reduce the risk of exposure to ongoing and future energy price volatility by integrating the pools into plans for the Hull District Heat Network.
