On May 3, 2023, Creative Energy received legislative approval from the British Columbia Utilities Commission to develop the Thompson Rivers University Low-Carbon District Energy System. This approval puts TRU on a path to becoming carbon neutral by 2030, effectively eliminating the use of fossil fuels on the campus and associated Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.
