In line with its commitment to enhancing communication with its staff in a happy work environment, Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation PJSC (Empower), the world's largest district cooling services provider, organized an annual gala dinner for its employees, which was attended by His Excellency Ahmad bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, as well as senior management members and about 1,000 employees of the organization.
During the gathering, the company took the opportunity to recognize and honor team members who spent 15, 10 and 5 years serving the organization and playing a pivotal role in accomplishing its objectives.
In his speech, the CEO, termed the work teams as 'the most precious asset of our organization'. "The successes and achievements of Empower and its leadership in the global district cooling industry, would not have been achieved without the commitments and dedication of our work teams in various administrative, technical and engineering divisions," he said. "Dubai is proud of our competent teams, and their high professionalism and contribution to achieving the vision of its wise leadership, which supported Empower and provided it with all care and means of success to reach its leading position today."
Bin Shafar stressed that Empower's global leadership in the district cooling industry is the fruit of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, who envisioned Dubai to be the Number One at all levels.
Bin Shafar also pointed out that the work atmosphere at Empower has become a role model for an ideal work environment that is full of transparency, empowerment and gratitude for the efforts of its devoted employees. "Honoring our employees reflects the company’s appreciation for their efforts and giving, and its keenness to keep supporting them."
Bin Shafar shared with the attendees the key achievements of Empower during the past two years and the current year, most notably the big acquisition deals of the district cooling systems of Nakheel and Meydan, and the latest acquisition of the right to operate the district cooling systems of Dubai International Airport, the successful listing on the Dubai Financial Market, the profits made by the company, the growth of its projects portfolio, both in quantity and quality. He also highlighted the expansion of the distribution network of the company to cover all regions of Dubai, in addition to the development of its services provided by its AI-based next-generation district cooling plants that leverage cutting-edge technologies in order for Empower to be the first in transforming the district cooling industry worldwide.
